What should I do if my data fails to import or contains duplicate records?
Last Updated 10 days ago
Records may fail to import for several reasons:
- Incomplete or inconsistent data: Records must have all required fields; incomplete records cannot be repaired and are rejected to maintain database integrity
- Duplicate detection: Golden Records automatically detects and ignores records with the same archer name, age group, bow class, round, and score on the same date
- Archer name mismatches: Names must match exactly (e.g., "Paul Newman" will not match "Newman, Paul" or "Fred Smith" will not match "Fred J Smith"). If different archers share the same name, use variations like "John Smith 2" during import and rename afterward if needed
After import, Golden Records displays a summary report showing the number of successfully imported records, failed records, and duplicates that were ignored. You can review detailed information about which specific records failed or were skipped.
