Local Database: Data is encrypted by Golden Records. Works offline with a local copy. Requires manual backup/restore or third-party cloud sync to share between PCs.
SQL Server: All Golden Records installations automatically share the same data source and stay in sync. Requires an always-on internet connection. Data is not encrypted by Golden Records — you must set up encryption within SQL Server if needed. Cloud services are not available with this option.
